Research Interests

Expression and regulation of MRF4 genes in X. laevis

Research Area

We are using promoter-reporter constructs in transgenic X. laevis embryos, tadpoles and adults to map the sequence elements responsible for expression of XMRF4a in various cell populations of the myotomes and other structures. Morpholino knockdowns are helping to determine the role of XMRF4 expression in X. laevis development.
