13th Structural Birth Defects Meeting
Dear Colleagues,
We invite you to participate in Thirteenth Structural Birth Defects Meeting to be held in-person September 16-18, 2024 at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. In keeping with the tradition of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, this meeting will bring together structural birth defects researchers spanning the scientific spectrum from basic to clinical to translational research, including developmental biologists, cell biologist, biophysicists, clinicians, genomicists, geneticists, epidemiologists, biostatisticians and bioinformaticists.
The program will feature oral presentations and abstracts with a focus on trainee presentations. We are excited to have commitments from two keynote speakers: Wendy Chung, M.D., Ph.D. from Boston Children’s Hospital & Harvard Medical School as well as Eric Liao M.D., Ph.D. from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Center for Craniofacial Innovation. We also look forward to an address from Diana Bianchi, M.D., Director of the NICHD. The meeting will open with a special “voice of the patient” session where multiple families will discuss the impact structural birth defects research has had on their families. Plan to join us for an exciting meeting!
