Description	trimethylation specific antibodies were raised in rabbits against two-branched H3 peptides (aa 5–15) according to a published procedure Peters et al. 2001 and Perez-Burgos et al. 2003. The H3-K9 antigen contains two -QTARK(Me)xSTGGKAP- fingers that were linked via a lysine residue and extended by a C-terminal cysteine. The H3-K9 position was either mono-, di-, or trimethylated (methylated lysines were purchased from Bachem, Switzerland).
