| Description: |
205 bp rat (Rno) elastase (elas) promoter driving dominant negative (DN) form of the thyroid receptor alpha (thra) (aka TRDN), fused to GFP (fusion indictated by hyphen). pElastase-TRDN-GFP construct was coinjected with Xenopus gamma-crystallin GFP (from Grainger Lab) to produce this double transgenic line. |
| Phenotype Description: |
GFP expression in the pancreas (specifically in the nucleus of the acinar cells of NF54 tadpoles), and in lens. Exocrine pancreases of transgenic tadpoles expressing a dominant negative form of the Thyroid Hormone (TH) receptor controlled by the elastase promoter are resistant to TH. |
