Larger Image Image by Nareesa Ali. This sample was stained with both 3G8 and 4A6, but at this stage only a few scattered cells in the distal segment and duct are 4A6 positive. 3G8 staining lines the inner surface of the proximal tubules of the pronephric nephron, sometimes extending a short distance from the apical membrane- presumably to the tight junctions. Staining never extends to the lateral membrane. There is faint staining in two of the three nephrostomes visible, the third nephrostome (on the right) may also be stained but is covered by the posterior arm of the pronephric tubules. This image is a frame grab from a 3D stack collected on a confocal. Approximately stage 38. Image created by: Vize Lab Permanent Image Page Printer Friendly View XB-IMG-79712 |
